Types of screen and where to use each
The single-pane fixed screen is the cleanest aesthetically. One tempered glass panel anchored to floor and wall with no movement or intermediate joint. Perfect for large walk-in showers where the interior space allows skipping a closed door. Visually the premium option but requires generous space (minimum 90 cm clear interior).
The two-pane sliding screen overlapping when sliding is the best-seller in medium showers. When opened, one panel sits behind the other, saving inside and outside space vs a hinged screen. We work with premium systems with silent ceramic bearings that last 15-20 years of intensive use trouble-free.
The folding screen with three or four panels that fold accordion-style is the option for very small bathrooms where space is critical. Barely 12-15 cm deep when folded. Aesthetically less clean than a slider due to multiple visible joints, but functionally the only option in some cases.
The corner screen for showers in a right-angle corner. Combines fixed and sliding panels in L or U geometry as required. The standard solution for built-in showers made in the bathroom corner during full renovations.
Tempered glass: the detail that matters
All our screens are made with ESG-certified tempered glass (compliant with European EN12150) at 6mm for standard showers and 8mm for large fixed surfaces or when premium appearance is required. Tempering guarantees that in case of accidental breakage the glass disintegrates into thousands of small blunt fragments with no serious cut risk.
On the glass we can apply optional treatments that significantly improve the user experience. Anti-lime treatment is what we recommend most: a nano-ceramic coating that repels water and lime, reducing cleaning effort and keeping the glass transparent for years. On the Costa Blanca with its extremely hard water, this treatment is practically essential if you want the screen to look new after 5-10 years. Standard treatment lasts 5-8 years before needing renewal; premium up to 15 years.
Screen-printed opaque glass or grain effect adds privacy without losing brightness. Light grey smoke finish gives a contemporary minimalist touch. All these finishes are chosen at design time before glass cutting.
Frames and installation
Anodised aluminium frames in standard colours (bright chrome, matte chrome, white, black) are what we sell most. Bright chrome is timeless and matches any aesthetic. Matte black is the current premium trend in contemporary design bathrooms.
Proper installation is what separates a screen that lasts 15 years from one that loses watertightness in 2-3. We always anchor to floor and wall with material-specific fixings (chemical anchor for concrete, plasterboard plug if the inner wall is dry construction), full sealing with neutral fungicide silicone specific for wet zones, and watertightness test with running water for 10-15 minutes before declaring the job done.

FAQ
How long for manufacture and install?
7-15 days from measurement. Special or large models up to 20-25 days. Install in one morning when the screen arrives on site.
Is the anti-lime treatment worth it?
On the Costa Blanca with hard water, absolutely. Keeps the screen transparent and cuts cleaning effort. The investment shows every day for years.
Do you work with baths or only showers?
Both. Screens for bath (typically folding or sliding) and showers (fixed, sliding, folding or corner depending on space).
6 or 8 mm glass?
6 mm is standard for residential showers. 8 mm for large fixed surfaces, very tall walls or when premium-feel robustness is wanted.
Replacement over an existing screen?
Yes. We remove the old screen, check substrate and silicone state, and install the new one. If there’s tile damage we discuss with the client before action.
